Tirana Art Lab, Bazament and Istituto Italiano di Cultura a Tirana
invite you to the opening of group exhibition “Vazhdë” curated by
participants of the first edition of “Curating with Care”, alternative
educational program, supported by Istituto Italiano di Cultura a Tirana.

Eight artists, reflect on the act of passing knowledge across
generations as a foundational element of humanity. This transfer is more
than just sharing information; it’s about conveying hopes, dreams,
traumas, and methods of coping. It embodies the very essence of being
human, shaping our actions and reflections as both individuals and as
links in the chain of our collective history. It is language and art
that serve as the primary vessels for this exchange, enabling us to
communicate the complexities and subtleties that define who we are. This
exhibition reflects on self-identity and our place within the broader
narrative: each generation contributing to this on-going story, adding
their own flair and unique perspective. This intergenerational
connection is not just about preserving the past, but also about
reflecting and metabolising in the present to properly shape the future.

This exhibition is the result of the final project of twelve
participants from Albania and Kosovo, of the first curatorial program in
Albania “Curating with Care”. This diverse group together with their
mentors Adela Demetja & Elian Stefa have collaborated on all levels
to create this exhibition. This act of collaboration is reflected as
well in the exhibition which itself focuses on the act of generations
working together as a testament to human resilience and adaptability. It
is through this lens that we can view our actions and motivations,
recognizing that they are deeply influenced by the legacy that surrounds
us. Ultimately, we are not just recipients of this inheritance but
active participants in its evolution. Our contributions here and now
will become the foundation for future generations, continuing the
timeless dialogue that reaches infinity.

“Curating with Care” is an alternative educational program initiated
and developed by Tirana Art Lab - Center for Contemporary Art. The first
edition of the program is promoted and supported by Istituto Italiano
di Cultura in Tirana and curated in partnership with Spazio Taverna
Rome.
